Week 6: Oh Sh*t, I Got The Job, Now What?
It all started 7 years ago when I was living in Chicago as a burnt out special education teacher knowing that I had to take a leap of faith, follow my heart, and commit to my dream job. I knew I wanted to combine my love for yoga with my experience in the classroom. I saw a need, and I couldn’t turn away.
With the help of a mentor, I got clear, organized, and put into action a plan to manifest my dream job of being a full-time kids yoga and mindfulness teacher in a school setting. I took the scary step, dropped everything, and moved back home to Baltimore to pursue my heart’s calling teaching yoga to underserved youth at a local charter school.
Based on my research and experience, I know what it takes to make the leap and land a job as a yoga teacher in a school, and am here to show you the way, whether you want to teach part-time or full-time in an educational setting.
