Lauren Crowe (she/her/hers) is a LGBTQIA+ elementary teacher with her children’s yoga certification and trauma informed certification. Lauren received her 95 hour Children’s Yoga Certification through Mission Propelle in Chicago and has taken both the Trauma Informed Course and Chair Yoga Course through Yoga Ed. She is actively working to make yoga more accessible for other educators by providing short yoga videos that can be used in the classroom. She believes it is critical to understand the history of yoga and participated in Susanna Barkataki’s Embrace Yoga’s Roots Course.
Lauren recently started offering free weekly yoga sessions for LGBTQIA+ youth with the focus that yoga is for everyone. Currently, Lauren is working towards her 200 hour Yoga teacher training certification. She believes that yoga must be inclusive and is a form of activism leading to positive social change.
