Meg Durkin, MS, E-RYT, RCYT, is the founder of Mindfulness with Meg, a national Yoga 4 Classrooms® and ChildLight Education Company® trainer and a certified health coach. Mindfulness with Meg is based in Hingham, MA and services schools and community centers with yoga and mindfulness for children ages birth to eighteen. The company was found in 2009 and has touched over a thousand of children. Meg also works extensively with educators, parents and children promoting stress reduction, nutrition, movement and mindfulness starting at a young age as a foundation for success at home, school and in life.
In addition to being a registered adult and child yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance, Meg has studied MBSR in Mind-Body Medicine with Jon Kabat-Zinn and is also a certified health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. In 2019, Meg led a yoga in schools and a self-care for educators’ workshops at New Hampshire’s National Education Association Conference and an introduction to yoga for toddlers at the PAL Preschool Conference in Lexington, MA. In 2018 she led mindful movement breaks at the New Hampshire School Counselor Association Conference (NHSCA) and the Mindfulness in Society Conference. In 2017 she was a speaker at the National Kids Yoga Conference in Washington D.C and the New Hampshire Library Association Conference. Meg holds a BA from Middlebury College and a Master in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. She lives in Hingham, MA with her four children.
