Stefanie Piatkiewicz


Stefanie Piatkiewicz (B.A. Dominican University, M.A. & GL-CMA Columbia College Chicago) is the lead Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Coordinator for Mindful Practices. She has been working with Mindful Practices since 2009 where she coaches schools on both a local and national level. She supports students and teachers by modeling direct instruction in the classroom, providing experiential professional developments, and leading interactive and collaborative teacher trainings.

Piatkiewicz is also a yoga, dance and movement educator, whose choreography has been featured at Hamlin Park Theatre, Going Dutch Dance Festival, Links Hall’s THAWALLS, Dance Chicago’s New Moves, The Space/Movement Project’s Research Project #1, and Oak Park Concert Chorale’s The Boar’s Head Festival. She has choreographed several musicals, including Schoolhouse Rock Live! for Dominican University, as well as My Fair Lady, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Pippin, and Ragtime for Concordia University.

She is excited to be celebrating her 10th year teaching with Mindful Practices!
